FULBRIGHT INFORMATION SESSION 3/29 - NOON - PUP 204

Come learn about the Fulbright Program and have pizza!

Come learn about the Fulbright Program!

Have you ever thought about living abroad for a year after you graduate? Are you interested in teaching English? Doing independent research? Enrolling in graduate school? Then come hear about the
Fulbright U.S. Student Program, a prestigious scholarship program that funds U.S. graduates to conduct in-person research, earn a master's degree, or teach English as a foreign language in one of 140+ countries throughout the world.

This information session is open to all students, both undergraduates and graduates. It is being sponsored by the Anthropology Club, the Public Health COM, the Sociology Society, and the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Public Health, and it will be led by Dr. Brian Souders, UMBC's Fulbright Program Advisor. Dr. Souders coaches students through UMBC’s (very successful!) Fulbright application process – including quite a few from our department! And this session, we anticipate a guest appearance by our own anthropology grad Maryam Elhabashy (2021), who is currently in Kuwait where she is conducting research supported by a Fulbright Award.

Please plan to join us to hear about this exciting program and maybe have some pizza. If you can’t join us or have any questions, please contact Dr. Souders at fulbright@umbc.edu.
