Social Problems in American Society - Online SS Credit


Updated Summer Course Description
This self-paced online course provides students with a sociological perspective to understand a variety of social problems including racial inequality, gender inequality, transphobia, unemployment, political polarization, fake news, and healthcare disparity. By incorporating discussion of current events such as the COVID-19 pandemic and Black Lives Matter protests, students will gain insight into how social movements create opportunities for positive social change, as well as the conceptual tools to become effective advocates for solving social problems.
